Analog Design Services

Verien's analog engineer, Geoff Legg, has amassed over 40 years of analog design experience, much of it in the data acquisition, medical imaging, and instrumentation areas. With Geoff's experience, Verien provides the following analog and mixed signal engineering services:

Analog Designs - Verien has experience designing analog subsystems for a wide variety of products including medical electronics (CT and ultrasound scanners), power, instrumentation, audio, industrial, sensor and scientific applications.

Data Acquisition - Verien has design experience with high resolution (18-24 bit) data acquisition systems, signal amplification and signal conditioning for these systems.

Power Subsystem Design - Verien has experience with a wide variety of power supply designs at power levels up to 50 kW and voltages up to 200 kV.

Industrial and Instrumentation Design - Experience includes measurement and control of temperature, humidity, pressure, weight, mass, flow, magnetic field strength (example), X-ray detection, capacitance (example), voltage, current and power. Applications include digital scales, panel instrumentation, temperature control, machine control, and environmental applications.
Medical Electronics - Verien has proven designs in the areas of CT and ultrasound scanners, fetal monitors, and other related medical applications.
Safety, EMC and Compliance - Verien has experience with safety circuits, electromagnetic compatibility and compliance with UL, FDA, GMP, FCC, IEC, CISPR, NIST and other agency requirements.
Electronic Packaging - Verien can assist you with cost-effective packaging designs for prototypes, small production runs and large scale production. Experienced with mechanical, aesthetic, ergonomic, safety, thermal, economic and environmental requirements of packaging.

Board Design Services

Board-Level Design Services - Verien has provided board-level designs for products ranging from 30 components to 1000 components. Past examples include mixed signal designs with isolated power and ground schemes, gigabit high-speed differential pairs, A/D and D/A converters, power supplies, and with many other design specifics.
Turnkey Board Services - In addition to board-level design services, Verien can provide layout, fabrication, component procurement, assembly using partner services, and debug in our lab.
